Book launch and Events

Interview on Life FM

I was invited to join Kit and Pete at the early hour of 7:30am on Thursday 10 September, which just happened to be my son’s birthday. There was plenty of buzz with Kit and Pete keeping with a busy program while asking me questions about my book. And in the mix, my son’s friend Jayke managed to get his call in to win a movie pass. It was hilarious! Pete asked me if I had put my son’s birthday on the party page, and um….no I didn’t. But what was better, is that I got to wish him happy birthday on radio. Thanks to Life FM for giving me the opportunity to share some of my story.

A successful Book Launch at Tea Tree Gully library

Thank you to Symon Williamson of Tea Tree Gully Library for hosting this event on Wednesday 9 September, and for the gift of my own labelled bottle of wine.
My editor Rhonda Pooley so wonderfully introduced me to the audience and I spoke a little about the journey of writing my book and the purpose of it. You can watch the video of my speech here.

Elizabeth Henson did a good job with the article. Even though there were a couple of inaccuracies, it was a good write-up. Thankyou to Dave Cronin for your wonderful photography.

Interview with Julie Day on Northern Open Mic

FB_IMG_1440579811335Julie with Jo and Pete at PBAfm Nothern Open Mic on Wednesday 27 August 2015. Julie talked about how she came about writing her book, touched some difficult areas in her life, and what she hopes to achieve from this book.

Such an amazing day!

Mothers Day this year was very different for me because it’s the day that I officially launched my book ‘Created To Shine: A journey of faith through the storms of life’. And what a journey it’s been! My two children sat in the church chearing me on with their smiles and encourageing me with their presence. They expressed in more than words how proud they are of me as I launched out to share with the world my story.
The first service was held at Lifepoint Ridgehaven in South Australia. Pastor David Hall invited me to the stage and interviewed me about my book. The second service, held at Lifepoint Gilberton, had the same format and was celebrated with a cake. For me, I couldn’t have asked for a better Mother’s Day. I’m so excited about the future!
